Caring for your silver

• Last on, first off — perfume, lotion and hairspray before jewellery, always.
• Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing, especially in humid weather.
• Store in the anti-tarnish pouch that comes with your order. Air is what dulls silver, so a closed pouch does most of the work.
• If it does darken, a silver polishing cloth restores it in under a minute. Tarnish is surface-level, never damage.
• Remove before swimming — chlorine and salt water are hard on silver.

Questions we get asked

• Is 92.5 sterling silver safe for sensitive skin? Yes. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% alloy, and ours contains no nickel — the metal responsible for most jewellery allergies.
• Will it tarnish? All sterling silver can tarnish with air and moisture. It's easily reversed with a polishing cloth, and storing pieces in your pouch prevents most of it.
• How is this different from your gold-plated range? Plated pieces have a gold layer over a base metal; sterling silver is solid throughout. Silver costs more and lasts longer.
• Can I wear it every day? Absolutely — that's what it's built for. Just take it off before showering and swimming.
